Group Therapy

What is group therapy?

Sharing can be an incredibly healing and empowering experience. Group therapy can help to identify and work on unhealthy and destructive relational pattern that are causing reoccurring pain, both individually and within relationships. It allows individuals to develop self awareness by listening to others with similar issues and healing from internal traumas and shame.

Group therapy is not exclusively for those that enjoy being in groups, but is also for those that struggle in groups and wish to create a new positive group experience - particularly those that have had difficulties in their family of origin or negative group experiences throughout their life.

It can help individuals to develop communication skills and allows clients to learn how to express their issues and accept criticism from others. Group work often helps individuals work through trauma, anxiety, self worth, communication and boundaries.
